3년 전에 구매했던 하카마가 장렬히 전사했습니다. 지벡에서 판매하는 경량하카마(남색). 큐빅센서 처리되어 가볍고, 주름도 잘 지워지지 않고, 빨리 마르는 등 장점이 아주 많은 제품이었지만, 폴리에스테르 100%라는 태생적 한계는 극복할 수 없었습니다. 네, 저 아무 생각 없이 뜨끈뜨끈한 히터 바로 앞에 서있었습니다.(눈물)
My Xebec hakama, which I've used for 3 years, faced glorious death. The hakama has many merits for It's very light, cubic-sensored so that its pleats are very hard to be removed, and dries very quickly. BUT it couldn't overcome its natural-born limit. It's 100% polyester, and I was dumb enough to stand wearing it in front of a burning hot heater.(sigh)
그래서 새로 샀습니다! 같은 걸로!
원래는 얼마 전부터 판매하기 시작한 토잔도의 경량하카마를 사려고 했습니다만, 같은 재질임에도 가격이 더 비싸고, 배송까지 4주가 걸린다는..(재고가 없다고 하더군요.)
So I bought a new hakama! The same type!
Frankly I thought to buy the Tozando's light-weight hakama, which has began to be sold recently. But it's more expensive with the same material, and it takes 4 weeks to get it because it's out of stock. Not much merit for me.
지난 월요일에 지벡에 국제전화를 걸어 주문했습니다. 처음 주문전화는 치카 씨가, 주문확인전화는 미조로기 씨가 받아주셨습니다.
I made overseas calls for an order to Xebec. Chika-san answer the 1st call, and Mizorogi-san got the 2nd call for confirmation.

정열의 다림질! 입었을 때 맵시가 나고, 개기 쉽게 하려면 주름을 처음부터 잘 잡아야 합니다. 꼼꼼하고 세심하게.
Ironing in passion! You should iron pleats yourself if you want to wear a hakama smartly and fold it up easily. Carefully and cautiously.
수선집에 가서 안주름에 박음질을 했습니다. 검도 수련자들이 자주 사용하는 방법인데, 이렇게 하면 주름이 없어지지 않아 하카마를 개기가 편합니다. 주름 없어진 하카마 개느라 고생하신 분들이라면 무슨 말인지 이해하실 겁니다. 4천원.
I went to clothes mending shop, and had the hakama's inside pleats backstitched. Many kendo practitioners do this because hakamas' pleats will not easily be removed and you can fold it up more easily. 4,000 won(350 yen).
You would understad what I'm talking about if you experienced hardships while folding a pleat-removed hakama.

근처 마크사에 가서 이름을 새겼습니다. 이번에는 평소와 달리 흰색으로. 2천원. 일본에 이름 자수를 주문하면 보통 200엔-400엔입니다.(글자 하나당) 또한 1주일을 기다려야 합니다. 하지만 솔직히 지벡에서 새겨주는 한자가 더 이뻐요. 다음에는 지벡에 자수까지 맡겨야 겠습니다.
My name in kanji was embroiderd in white at the near embroidery shop. 2,000 won(150 yen). It will take more than a week if you order embroidery in Japan. It costs 200 yen-400 yen per each letter. Frankly, Xebec's embroidery looks better. I will order it next time.
